Special Guest - Mayor Ralph Gutierrez

Mayor Ralph Gutierrez will be joining the Adobo Throwdown 3.0. As a dedicated public servant throughout his adult life, Gutierrez was sworn in as the Mayor of Schertz in November 2019, following his tenure as a City Council member. A native Texan, he has been a resident of Schertz since 1991, when he was reassigned to Randolph Air Force Base.

Gutierrez graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1994 and from the U.S. Federal Courts in January 2016, where he held a leadership position managing the Public Access to Court Electronic Records (PACER) system.

Committed to the well-being and progress of Schertz, Mayor Gutierrez leverages his background in Business Administration to promote economic growth and enhance the overall quality of life for Schertz residents.

Ralph and his wife, Raquel, have been married for 46 years. They are proud parents of a daughter who graduated from Samuel Clemens High School and the University of Texas-San Antonio.
