Special Guest - Allison Heyward

Allison Heyward has been a member of Schertz City Council  Place 6 since 2018. She has lived in Schertz with her family since 2011. Heyward has a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Texas Southern University.

Heyward and her husband decided to settle in Schertz after his retirement from the US Navy. They have two children,  a son-in-law and 2 grandchildren. Heyward enjoys crafting, gardening, woodworking, and spending time with her family in her free time. She has worked in logistics,  purchasing and as a substitute teacher before joining Schertz City Council.

In addition to her role on Council, Heyward is involved in various boards and organizations including the Texas Municipal League (TML) where she served as the regional director for Region 7 and was named the President-Elect in October 2023. She will become president of TML in October 2024.
