Seared Wagyu Tenderloin Adobo

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound Wagyu tenderloin, sliced into 1-inch cubes

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 3 tablespoons vinegar

  • 5 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 teaspoon whole peppercorns

  • Salt to taste

Directions:

  1. Preheat your grill to high heat.

  2. Season the Wagyu tenderloin cubes generously with salt.

  3. Thread the cubes onto skewers, leaving a little bit of space between each piece.

  4. In a cast iron pan, heat up 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium-high heat.

  5. Add minced garlic to the pan and sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.

  6. Add whole peppercorns to the pan and cook until they start to release their aroma, about 1 minute.

  7. Pour in 3 tablespoons of soy sauce and 3 tablespoons of vinegar. Mix well and let it simmer for a minute or two.

  8. Remove the pan from the heat and set aside.

  9. Place the skewers of Wagyu tenderloin on the grill and sear for about 20 seconds on each side, or until the meat is cooked to your desired level of doneness.

  10. Once the Wagyu is seared, remove it from the grill and place it onto a plate.

  11. Pour the sauce over the Wagyu skewers, making sure that each piece is evenly coated.

  12. Let the Wagyu tenderloin cool to room temperature before serving.

  13. Serve with your choice of sides and enjoy!

Tips:

  • Make sure to use a cast iron pan for the sauce as it will provide the best results.

  • Don't overcook the Wagyu tenderloin! It's a delicate cut of meat, so aim for medium-rare to medium.

  • You can also marinate the Wagyu tenderloin in the sauce for a few hours before grilling to add even more flavor.
