Cassandra Montenegro Returns as Adobo Throwdown 2.0 Judge

Exciting news! Social media influencer Cassandra Montenegro, aka FeedCassie, will be judging the professional division of the Adobo Throwdown Cooking Competition 2.0!👩‍🍳🍴🎉 Her expertise and love for food will bring a fresh perspective to the event, and we can't wait to see her back in action as a judge. Get to know more about Cassandra and her background as she shares her story with us.

Q. Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and your background?

My name is Cassandra Montenegro. I grew up a military brat but I call San Antonio home. I don't consider myself an influencer, I just love to showcase my love of local food in my beautiful city.

Q. What is your niche, and what inspired you to focus on that particular area?

I love to focus on places that I actually enjoy. I focus on authenticity.

Q. How do you choose the products or services that you promote on your social media channels?

I don't have specific criteria. If I enjoy a place I will definitely put in the time and effort to showcase.

Q. How do you engage with your followers and build a relationship with them?

I love engaging with my followers! I always make sure to talk with them. I'm very personable. I always make sure to comment or message back when people ask me questions. I also love getting recommendations from my followers!

Q. How do you measure the success of your social media campaigns?

I don't take social media too seriously. This is just a fun way to showcase places and things that I love!

Q. What advice would you give to someone who is just starting out as a social media influencer?

My best advice I would give to someone is to be consistent with your posting! It’s the best way to build your following.

Q. How do you balance your personal life with your social media work?

The life of an “influencer” for me is sometimes really difficult. There are days/weeks where I have to give myself a break. Once it starts to not feel fun, I can see the quality of my posts not being the best. Small businesses that I showcase deserve the best and if I’m overwhelmed or stressed about posting (I’m just posting to post) it’s not my best work.

Q. How do you see the future of social media evolving, and what role do you see influencers playing in that future?

I think that social media has already evolved the advertising world so much. Influencers are able to pump out such good content that really can highlight the best in places.

Q. Can you share any exciting projects or collaborations that you have coming up in the near future?

What you can see from me now is just continued love of small businesses in San Antonio :)
