Adobo Throwdown MC Profile: Shenel Rimando

Shenel Rimando will be gracing the stage as one of the esteemed MCs at the highly anticipated Adobo Throwdown Cooking Competition and Food Expo 2.0!

Shenel Rimando was born in Metro Manila, Philippines to a father from Baguio and a mother from Pampanga. Shenel works in the construction industry as a project manager and became the first Filipina President of the National Association of Women in Construction San Antonio chapter.

She is the author of the savesellshenel.com blog where she helps her clients find ways to save and make money so they can have more time to spend with people they love. She features local businesses and artists on her blog to inspire her audience to pursue their dreams. Shenel’s diverse background led her to be featured as a guest speaker on Great Day SA, the international summit Conquer Like a Girl, and multiple events throughout Texas. Shenel was featured on the University of St. Thomas-Houston alumni success stories, Construction News, Voyage San Antonio, and Canvas Rebel magazine.

Shenel helps raise awareness about Filipino and Asian culture as one of the hosts of Friendly Pinoy SA where she interviews small business and performers to amplify their story. Shenel hopes one day everyone she meets will know about Filipino food and culture.
