Meet Vanessa Segovia, a talented 20-year-old aspiring singer who has come a long way from her humble beginnings in Lich, Germany, to now gracing the stages in San Antonio, TX. While Vanessa's journey into the world of music was not always straightforward, her determination and passion have led her on a path of self-discovery and success.
Growing up, Vanessa always had a deep passion for singing, but she was incredibly shy when it came to performing in front of others. It wasn't until she entered middle school that she decided to take a leap of faith and join the choir as an extracurricular activity. Singing in a group setting allowed her to break free from her stage fright and discover the joy of music in a supportive environment.
Through the years, Vanessa's love for singing only grew stronger, and she continued to nurture her talent throughout her high school years. Graduating in 2020, she embarked on her college journey at "The University of Texas at San Antonio" (UTSA). Initially uncertain about her academic path, she changed her major multiple times in her first two years.
It was during this time that fate brought her together with a good friend who introduced her to the inspiring figure of Tita Khai. Tita Khai saw potential in Vanessa beyond being just a choir member and recognized her capabilities as a soloist. This pivotal encounter ignited a spark of self-belief in Vanessa, and she began to contemplate pursuing a career in music seriously.
Following her heart, Vanessa decided to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Music, a decision that filled her with happiness and a sense of purpose. As she delved deeper into her music studies, she also had the opportunity to perform at various festivals and fundraisers, thanks to Tita Khai's encouragement and support.
On a fateful day, February 17, 2022, Vanessa's dreams took a significant leap forward when she was granted an amazing opportunity to record a cover for the timeless classic, "Fly Me To The Moon." Stepping into the recording studio for the first time was a surreal experience for her, solidifying her desire to make music a central part of her life.
Vanessa's journey from a shy choir member to a blossoming soloist serves as an inspiration to others. It is a reminder that sometimes, the path to one's true calling may be filled with uncertainty and doubt, but with perseverance and the right encouragement, we can find the courage to embrace our passions fully.
As she continues her studies at UTSA and her performances with Tita Khai, Vanessa looks forward to a future filled with endless musical possibilities.
